Islamabad - Week Four

We were able to go hiking in the beautiful Margallah Hills on Christmas Eve! Hurray! It was wonderful to get out of the apartment, get some exercise, and enjoy the scenery.

Week Four

You can see Islamabad in the distance.

A guy we saw on the trail - he was collecting firewood. This is why Islamabad is hazy in the winter months.

Islamabad - Week Three

It's getting close to Christmas, and I'm missing my girls. I'm missing carols in shopping malls and pseudo-Santas on street corners. I'm missing snow. I'm missing wreaths and trees and decorating (all of my Christmas things are in storage). I'm missing my culture.

Islamabad - Week Two

On to Week Two - we've experienced lock down conditions due to President Trump's announcement last week of the administration's intention of moving the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Islamabad - Week One

After one week in Pakistan, the jet lag has finally abated. I'm adjusting to my new schedule, making friends among my colleagues, and finding my way around. My goal for this year is to post one photo each week - with or without commentary.
