More exploration

After taking the glass elevator, we crossed a bridge into a quaint yesterday of yore.

Right across the street.

Downtown.

In front of the Grand Palace.

High-fiving the Grand Duchess Charlotte.

Hiking in Luxembourg is amazing!

Who knew there were slot canyons?

Another Walk and Celebrating Luxembourgʻs National Day

Near the Villeroy and Boch outlet.

A mini-hike through the city.

Wheat fields!

A church near our apartment. It looks old, but was actually built in the 20th century.

Just like the U.S., Luxembourg celebrated their national day with fireworks!

Around the City

Oh, man, is this place gorgeous.

With R - this ʻX" is a symbol here in LuXembourg!

In the train station.

I love cemeteries - this one is very close to our apartment.

Beautiful.

I could take hundreds of photos. Perhaps I will.

With a colleague - weʻre negatives!

The Gelle Fra - a memorial to fallen soldiers.

A view within the city.

Landed in Luxembourg

Iʻve been enjoying looking back on the weekly posts I made while in Pakistan. In so many ways it was a great year and an unforgettable experience. I made a promise to myself to post regularly, and Iʻm so glad I did - it forced me to pay attention.

After landing in Luxembourg and spending the first few days in country, I realize I will regret it if I donʻt do the same thing here. So I will! My plan is to post a photo - sometimes with commentary, other times without - each Wednesday. If my calculations are correct, that will mean in excess of 150 memories recorded by the time we leave in three years.

My first photo of the embassy.

I. Am. In. So. Much. Trouble. The croissants are to die for.

The view from our terrace.

Also from our terrace but looking down the street to the right.

Our embassy has a space connection!
